Custom Aluminum PCB Manufacturer for Thermal Designs
JetH PCB is a PCB manufacturer specializing in aluminum boards for LED lighting, power electronics and communication equipment. We review the material stack, hole construction and finished-board requirements against your drawing before confirming a manufacturing route.
Aluminum PCB Manufacturing
Need the board to fit a heatsink? Have plated interconnects passing through an aluminum-core design? Those details shape the build. Send us the Gerber files, drill data and fabrication drawing; we will identify which specifications can be confirmed and which need an engineering decision.
If the thermal dielectric or stackup has not been finalized, give us the electrical isolation and thermal conditions the board must satisfy. We can review a prototype requirement with its intended repeat-production use in mind.

Aluminum PCB Construction Options
Copper circuitry, an electrically insulating thermal dielectric and an aluminum base form the starting structure. Your routing, hole pattern and mounting arrangement determine which construction should be evaluated.
LED and Lighting Boards
When the circuit occupies one face, we review the route from the heat-producing component through the dielectric to the aluminum base. The surface that meets the fixture belongs in that review.
Routing on Both Faces
Copper on both faces may require plated interconnections. JetH PCB checks where those conductors pass and how the proposed structure keeps them isolated from the aluminum.
Project-Specific Features
Resin-filled holes, slots and close-fitting mounting positions can change the process. We assess each feature against the selected material stack and its purpose in the finished product.
Aluminum PCB Manufacturing Capabilities
Use these ranges to identify the level of technology your drawing may require. They are aluminum PCB project-assessment references. JetH PCB confirms the applicable material, dimensions, processes and tolerances for each quoted design.
| Parameter | Standard Range | Advanced Technology |
|---|---|---|
| Panel size | 500 × 600 mm to 1200 × 600 mm | 1200 × 1200 mm |
| Board thickness | 0.3–3.0 mm | 0.2–5.0 mm |
| Copper thickness | 1–4 oz | 0.5–10 oz |
| Minimum trace / space | 0.10 / 0.10 mm | 0.075 / 0.075 mm |
| Drilled hole diameter | 0.6–6.0 mm | 0.2–6.5 mm |
| Thermal conductivity | 1.0–2.0 W/m·K | 3.0 W/m·K |
| Surface finish | HASL / ENIG / OSP | Electroplated silver / gold fingers |
The ranges are listed by parameter, not as one guaranteed combination on a single board. Material availability and finished-board capability require drawing review.
Thermal Dielectric and Aluminum Heat Path
JetH PCB reviews that figure alongside dielectric thickness, insulation needs, copper geometry and the way the board meets the heatsink or enclosure.
Where does heat leave the assembled product? Show us the component locations and mounting arrangement. We will examine the manufacturable portion of that path and identify any material or interface assumption that needs customer confirmation.
If an electrical withstand test is required, put the voltage and test method on the drawing. Thermal performance and electrical isolation must both be considered when selecting the dielectric.
Aluminum PCBs for LED and Power Electronics
LED Lighting
For a ceiling-light board in the 1–24 W project range, we examine LED placement, dielectric selection and the board surface that meets the fixture. The aluminum base may spread heat effectively, yet the contact to the rest of the cooling system still needs to be defined.
Power Electronics
Power designs add current paths and electrical isolation to the thermal decision. Give us the copper requirement, voltage condition and mounting arrangement. We review whether the proposed metal-core build accommodates them together.

Aluminum PCB with Insulated Plated Through-Holes
When plated holes connect circuits across an aluminum-core construction, the hole wall must be reviewed against the conductive metal around it. JetH PCB checks the hole position, intended connection and available room for electrical isolation before confirming a fabrication route.
Connections: Which holes are plated interconnects, and which are non-plated mounting or locating holes?
Isolation: Where must the plated conductor remain separated from the aluminum, and what voltage must the finished board withstand?
Geometry: Do nearby pads, slots or board edges leave sufficient space for the proposed construction?
Send the hole map and the specified isolation test with the drawing. We can then review the insulated plated through-holes as manufactured features, rather than relying on a general statement that the board is double-sided.
Double-Sided Aluminum PCB for Communication Equipment
This communication-board example combines circuits on both faces with a 500 V withstand-voltage requirement, plated through-holes and half-hole slots. The voltage and features describe this project; they are not specifications for every aluminum PCB.
Our review connects the plated-hole interconnect, electrical separation from the aluminum and machined edge. If a hole or slot reduces the available insulation space, that question needs an answer before fabrication.
Purchasing can assess a defined construction and test requirement. Engineering can see which feature was checked against which condition.

Edges That Fit the Product
An aluminum PCB may need a clean profile where it meets a housing, bracket or thermal interface. JetH PCB reviews the outline, slots and mounting holes against the dimensions marked as critical on your drawing.
Resin-filled holes can also be evaluated when a project calls for them. Send the hole map and specify their function; the filling process and related inspection requirements must be confirmed for that construction.
Aluminum PCB Design Files and Quote Requirements
Send the files that define the board and the conditions that govern its use. If a material choice is still open, tell us the result you need rather than assigning an unverified material number.
Fabrication: Gerber files, drill data, board outline, fabrication drawing and proposed stackup.
Electrical: Required connections, copper thickness, isolation voltage, test points and test method.
Product fit: Heat sources, mounting method, heatsink contact, slots and critical dimensions.
Order: Prototype quantity, expected repeat demand and required inspection records.
Aluminum PCB Manufacturing FAQ
Can JetH PCB make an aluminum PCB with plated through-holes?
Send the stackup, drill files and connection requirements. We will assess an insulated plated-hole construction against the available geometry and required electrical test before confirming it for fabrication.
Does a 3.0 W/m·K dielectric guarantee a cooler component?
The material rating alone cannot establish component temperature. Dielectric thickness, heat-transfer area and contact from the aluminum board to the cooling structure also matter.
Are all Advanced Technology values available on one board?
Not necessarily. The table shows reference ranges by parameter, not one combined stackup. JetH PCB confirms the applicable combination after reviewing the material, board size, copper, holes and required finish.
What should we send for an aluminum PCB quotation?
Start with Gerber and drill files, a fabrication drawing and the quantity. Include the intended thermal interface, any mandatory isolation test and critical mechanical dimensions.
